Blog Intro

So Friends, classmates, family and other...people, after holding out for this long I finally caved and got into this blogging business. It took an assignment from one of my classes to make it happen, but now that I did it, I'm glad I did. besides, it's cool and everybody is doing it.

I guess what I'll do is tell about some of the latest and greatest things that are happening in the Duffin's life. I'll begin in Hawaii about 5 months ago. I made a tough but good decision to apply to BYU and switch majors. I ended up getting in and so about a month or so ago my Sara and I packed up and left paradise. Above I have a picture that was taken over the summer in Hawaii at Log Cabins. Warm weather and foil dinners on a tropical beach are hard to leave behind, but sometimes you gotta give a little to get a lot.

Even though I am in Provo now where this morning it was 10 degrees outside I am loving it. We scored an awesome 3 bedroom apartment for only 750 a month and that includes utilities. My wife is pregnant and starting to show a little. She is such a babe, especially while pregnant with our little boy (okay, we still don't know what she's having but i have my suspicions). School is amazing. I am in the Facilities and Property management program here at BYU. I have to admit, many people (including myself at times) thought we were crazy for leaving Hawaii and moving to Provo. However, when I got into my classes, my faith became perfect in that thing. I'm stoked on what I'm doing. I am excited to go to class everyday and learn more about my future career.

Besides school, I'm about to start as a back waiter at PF Chang's. I'm excited. Even more so is Sara since she's an all-star at that place. Speaking of Sara, she just started yesterday working concierge at the Marriott mountainside resort at Park City. She loves it but says that she has a bizzillion things that she has to learn about Park City. I know she's going to kill it at that job because that's the kind of girl she is.

For those wondering, I have been able to get my shred on since I've been back. I've spent three days on the mountain and had two jib (handrail) sessions in the valley. I'll put some pictures up on this blog as well as another snowboard blog for which I am an editor. That blog is super cool. Feel free to check it out at badboysodas.com. That's it. Till next time
